Description

Gouty arthritis is characterised by presence of high uric acid in blood, leading to deposition of uric acid as urate crystals within the joints of great toe, ankle, foot, knee etc. resulting in recurrent episodes of pain, redness and swelling of great toe joints and other joint areas.
